Sharing Industry Technical Knowledge

AAA Membership provides the technical knowledge to assist in the day to day operations of your business. This information is available in the Members’ only section of the AAA website.

Communication

AAA Members have exclusive access to the AAA Members Only Website. The Members only website provides access to templates for business processes and technical knowledge applicable to airports and aerodromes of every size. Examples include the AAA Pavement Calculator and the National Airport Emergency Plan template.  AAA Members also receive the Members only ‘Airport e-alert’. This weekly e-newsletter provides information on AAA activities, industry and member news, employment opportunities, and events.

Events and networking

AAA Members receive a significant discount of over $1200 per person when registering for the AAA National Convention and Technical Workshop. With over 600 attendees each year, this major annual event is the largest aviation conference and trade exhibition in Australia, providing Members with strong technical and operational knowledge as well as extensive networking opportunities.

The AAA also holds more than fourteen state based Division meetings per year, which Members can attend to be briefed on the latest industry issues impacting their business. The AAA arranges for airport related regulators and government agencies to attend these meetings to provide members with direct access to decision-makers. These meetings also provide our corporate members with excellent business development opportunities.

Industry advocacy – access and influence

As the one voice of Airports in Australia, the AAA promotes and encourages greater recognition by Government and the Community of the critical role airports play in the success of Local, State and National economies.

The AAA is continually scanning and reviewing the regulatory and political environment to ensure a proactive response and best practice advocacy for airport issues, working in partnership with our Members and stakeholders to ensure airport advocacy is cohesive and collaborative.

The AAA sits on more than twenty government committees, representing the interests of Airports in Australia. Membership of the AAA affords the opportunity to help influence these outcomes for the advancement of industry.

Corporate Member Benefits

Corporate members receive access to all of the above. Corporate Members can also profile their businesses in the weekly e-alert and the exclusive goods and services directory available for AAA Members. AAA membership affords members the opportunity to network with representatives of more than 200 airports.

Individual Member Services

AAA Members can also receive individual advocacy advice and assistance on specific regulatory issues which impact your airport or business.
