An exciting opportunity has become available for an energetic and motivated Access and Identification Compliance Officer to join our Aviation Operations Team at Gold Coast Airport. This role is a permanent full-time position, reporting through to the Manager Security & Emergency Planning.

The purpose of this role is to provide support in the area of Aviation and aeronautical security for the safe and secure operation of the airport precinct. To provide regulatory services for Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa, Longreach Airports and other affiliated regional airports.

“I joined QAL because I wanted to be work with a team of people who are all genuinely passionate about their work and at creating great outcomes for our passengers and stakeholders. My contribution to the team spans across three areas: In my primary role as a Work Safety Officer, I represent Gold Coast Airport as a frontline overseer of aerodrome works and airside activity, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety. In an alternate engagement position I also occasionally provide assistance to GCA’s team of Terminal Systems and Maintenance Officers, working to ensure the baggage belt system operates in an effective and efficient manner. Thirdly, through a higher duties engagement I am currently undertaking a operational support role for GCA’s Airside Operations team.”

We are seeking an individual who shares our team’s passion for the Aviation Industry and has demonstrated administrative experience. The successful applicant will have exceptional internal and external stakeholder engagement, organisational, time tasks and priority management skills.  They will enjoy contributing as part of a team and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

 

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • All passes, cards, keys, airport access, alarms and other identifiable material issued, recorded, received and documented effectively and efficiently in accordance with GCA requirements
  • Security audits and reporting carried out efficiently and according to planned schedule
  • Ensuring database management is current
  • Professional and competent support provided to the Manager Security & Emergency Planning with agreed timeframes met or re-negotiated effectively
  • Purchase orders prepared for the Aviation Department
  • All documentation and reporting carried out effectively and efficiently according to agreed timeframes
  • All training and documentation effectively carried out to meet training requirements, training objectives and CISC approval
