What you’ll contribute to; An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team in a full-time role with a 38-hour working week. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Accountant; the successful applicant will join a team of dedicated finance professionals and play an integral role in the preparation and maintenance of accounts for the QAL Group which involves a range of day-to-day duties supporting this function, including preparation of monthly management reports, preparation & lodgment of business activity statements and PAYG instalments. I make a difference by bringing my skills and contributions to the team so that we work together to improve service. How will you make an impact? We are looking for an energetic and committed individual with attention to detail. The Accountant’s key responsibilities, include, but are not limited to: Preparation of bank reconciliations on a timely basis Month end activities include; amortisation, accruals (income and operating expenses), prepayments, recharges, coding reclasses across QAL Group Prepare and lodge monthly BAS Complete balance sheet reconciliations Management and coding of expense reports and credit cards Assist with the annual external audit process Assist with month end account preparation and management reporting Adhoc assistance to the broader finance team as required including transactional activities Support Financial Reporting Accountant with ad hoc reporting and projects Review and ownership of purchase order operating expenses Leader of Finance Intern program Skills, Experience and knowledge to perform the role Relevant Graduate or Post Graduate qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance. Minimum 2 years’ Accounting experience in a similar role. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) such as TechnologyOne is preferred. Studying towards CPA or CA qualification highly regarded. What do we offer you?
