We are looking for commercial focused individual with solid business acumen to manage the ongoing operation and development of the Airport as a self-funded business unit of Council. The role is responsible for the identification and capitalisation of new business opportunities and generation of alternative income streams; and ensuring safe, secure and efficient operations consistent with legislative and regulatory requirements, industry best practice, and Council’s economic development and commercial objectives.

About you

To be successful in this position you will hold a relevant Tertiary qualification and/or significant professional experience in a commercial business environment. You will have strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.  You must also meet the eligibility requirements to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card.

Knowledge of relevant aviation legislation is desirable along with previous Local Government and/or airport management experience.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent, 35 hours per week

Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $106,639.38 – $120,023.46 per annum depending on skills and experience
