About the role: The Airport Coordinator will: Provide leadership to ensure day to day operations are efficient and effective and lay the foundations for the growth of Whyalla Airport operations into the future Focus on day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and all relevant legislation Manage key relationships and regulatory requirements associated with the Whyalla Council Airport as a Tier 2 screening airport Provide leadership of Airport direct reports About you: We are looking for a highly motivated person who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career with Council’s airport team. We are seeking a leader who has: Well-developed leadership, planning and management skills Knowledge of Airport Security requirements and relevant legislation including a thorough knowledge of the Civil Aviation Authority Regulations and Practices and Aviation Transport Security Regulations Qualification as Airport Reporting and Works Safety Officer A current Drivers Licence, ASIC Card and a national police security check Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business discipline or airport operations (or significant contemporary experience) A strong focus on safety and a working knowledge and understanding of the WHS and Risk Management legislation within a diverse setting A committed approach to continuous improvement and thrives as a self starter with strong problem-solving skills to propose improved ways of working High level interpersonal, communication and customer service skills Good time management skills and excels working in a fast-paced diverse environment, managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and achieving targets Excellent computer/technology skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of products If this sounds like your perfect role, we want to hear from you! The salary applicable for this role is in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers' Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement, paid at Level 5-6 depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
