What you’ll contribute to:

Townsville Airport is seeking a highly organised Facilities Coordinator join the team on a full time basis! The Airport Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the control and maintenance of airport assets, including identification of requirements for capital works. This role is also responsible for efficiently managing and coordinating internal and external resources to deliver high quality, cost effective repair and maintenance services for the regional airports.

How will you make an impact?

We are looking for an individual who is highly organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. As this role is responsible for the control and maintenance of airport assets, the ideal candidate will have a background in a trade and/or maintenance, or projects and planning, and preferably have a qualification to support this. Knowledge of the aviation/airport industry is desirable.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the asset register and maintenance schedules within the Asset Management System.
  • Manage workload given to internal maintenance employees and external maintenance resources.
  • In consultation with Maintenance Operations Manager, allocate and prioritise maintenance tasks to internal maintenance team and/or contractors.
  • Maintain the Airport maintenance structure and maintenance schedules within the      Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Monitor and report on maintenance expenditure against budget, seeking direction for Maintenance Operations Manager if expected to exceed monthly budgets.
