Moorabbin Airport is currently seeking applications for an Airport Ground Services Officer to join the Moorabbin Airport team. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Airport Ground Services Officer will be responsible for ensuring Moorabbin airport is maintained in a safe and efficient manner to deliver optimal airport operations. Responsibilities will include: +    Aerodrome Reporting Officer functions +    Daily safety and security patrols/ inspections; +    Surface condition inspections, including structure and cleanliness of runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft parking areas, perimeter roads, landside roads and footpaths; +    Ensure aircraft are parked within defined areas and in accordance with aircraft parking plan; +    Ensure airport works are undertaken safely and in accordance with requirements, including Method Of Working Plans; +    Ensure objects/Foreign Object Debris (FOD) are identified and removed +    Ensure persons and vehicles on the airfield are in compliance with the provisions of the MAC Airside Vehicle Control Handbook and Transport Security Program; +    Ensure integrity of airside/landside gates and fences; +    Ensure line marking of the airport runways, taxiways, and aprons is maintained and presented according to standards; +    Participate in aerodrome emergency procedures and undertake duties as required within the Airport Emergency Plan; +    Contribute to a planned approach to maintenance by adhering and contributing to plans and schedules; +    Undertake gardening and mowing activities to ensure required standards are met +    Sweep areas with pavement sweeper; +    Address water main issues as they arise, including assessment of whether a qualified plumber is required to carry out works; +    Carry out maintenance, including excavation, filling and re-sealing of sealed pavements, roadways, car parks etc; +    Operate earthmoving and agricultural plant and equipment; +    Maintain water supply and sewerage systems; +    Maintain aerodrome markings, fences, signals and flares; +    Report broken or blown globes in runway/taxiway lighting system; +    Accurately complete daily operations log book, checklists, incident reports and generally ensure incidents/issues/events are effectively reported in a timely manner; +    Accurately complete the airfield operations procedures worksheets; +    Participate in the development and effective implementation of the airport operational annual budget, including looking to support the implementation of cost effective solutions.   About You The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and qualifications; +    2-3 years experience in a similar role related to aerodrome reporting officer, airport maintenance/gardening maintenance +    Current drivers licence +    Current Aviation Security Identification Card & Airside Driving Authority +    Current Aerodrome reporting officers certificate +    Current Aircraft Radiotelephone Operators Certificate +    Relevant certificates to operate heavy equipment +    Strong administration skills and high attention to detail; +    Ability to create rapport and credibility across a broad range of people; +    Demonstrated reliability to complete tasks/projects by deadlines; +    Able to work independently and as a member of a team; +    Strong communication and customer service skills; +    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.   The Benefits We know that our people are integral to our company success.
