AMS is currently recruiting for the role of Ground Handlers at the Granites in the Northern Territory. The Granites Mine is 540 km north-west of Alice Springs. The successful applicants will need to be based/fly from Darwin or Brisbane only. Refuelling experience is a requirement for this role.

Position description

Promote and achieve safe, timely and efficient ground handling and airport services at the Granites Airport. Duties include coordinating the safe and timely loading and unloading of all passengers, baggage, assisting with the overall turnaround of aircraft in accordance with operator schedules and receipt and dispatch of aircraft.

Essential criteria

• At least 1-year proven experience in a Ground Handling role
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of aerodrome ramp operations
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work well in unsupervised and in a team
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must hold and maintain a current C Class manual driver’s license (MR/HR desirable)
• A professional attitude and personal presentation standards
• High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience in load control, ramp management and receipt and dispatch of various aircraft types
• Ability to obtain ASIC.

Desirable criteria

• Working knowledge of MOS139, CASR and associated aviation operating procedures
• Receipt and Despatch of Alliance F100 and E190 aircraft
• Experience with Avantik check in process
• ARO/WSO qualification
• Refuelling experience.
