Onslow is a town approx. 1300 kilometers’ north of Perth and great for those who love fishing.  An excellent remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant including a 3-bedroom townhouse and vehicle to get to and from work. An Aviation Security Screener’s role is diverse, but ultimately focuses on ensuring the safety and security integrity of the airport and passengers. The role will involve but not be limited to supervising a team of Aviation Security Screeners, submit rosters, monthly reports and work at the screening point with the traveling public. We are looking for a person to have demonstrated strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and an intermediate knowledge of software programs, word, excel and outlook. Experience with rosters would be highly desirable but not essential. It is expected that the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 as well as associated screening legislation. As the aviation industry does not stop for weekends or public holidays, the successful applicants will have the ability to work a flexible roster. Essential experience/qualifications: At least three years’ experience as a screening officer. Hold a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or higher qualification. Desirable Qualifications: Current first aid certificate. Current Dangerous Goods awareness certificate.
