What you’ll contribute to

The purpose of this role is to  develop and support safe work practices, positive safety attitudes and a minimal injury workforce by building relationships and developing a positive safety and health culture throughout the site.

How you will make an impact?

TSV, ISA & LRE Policies and Procedures are developed in partnership with the departments and maintained online within the QAL SHMS.
Assist in the maintenance and update of the QAL Safety Risk Register, the Regional airports incident register and non-conformance register. Assist GM HSE in development of HS strategy for the regional ports.
Employee, contractors and tenants are aware of, and coached in current Health and Safety legislation, Fire Regulations, Safety Policy and Procedures, culture and compliance requirements.
A monthly report outlining the months incidents, injuries and activities is prepared
Reports are produced when required in relation to health and safety activities, trends, risks, hazards, incidents and performance.
Support for all injured workers to ensure a timely and effective return to work or suitable duties
An effective assurance program is developed and implemented that ensures all work, particularly critical risk work, is conducted to QALs safety standards and legislative requirements.
Health and Safety incident report investigations are followed through to satisfactory completion for all regional ports employee, customers and contractors.
