As General Manager of Civil Services & Operations Hamilton Island Enterprises, Paul Watson shares the Oatley family’s vision to create a world-class holiday destination. Paul hails from a background in Airline Operations, Airport Operations, Financial Management and Emergency Services.
Paul moved from Airline Operations following the collapse of Ansett Airlines in 2001 to a budget development role when joining the Department of Treasury in Canberra where he was responsible for liaison with Department of Finance and Administration in preparation of the annual Australian Federal Budget and release of budget papers. Paul relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2005 and re-discovered his love of all things aviation taking up a role with Sunshine Coast Airport and during his four year tenure worked in a number of roles including Airport Compliance Manager and later as Airport Operations Manager.
In 2009 Paul accepted and was appointed a position with Hamilton Island Enterprises of Airport & Island Transport Manager, over time his role has evolved into his current position as General Manager, Civil Services and Operations.
