Customer Experience Working Group

The AAA Customer Experience Working Group enhances passenger experiences by identifying trends, sharing best practices, and supporting strategic initiatives. Through collaboration, advocacy, and continuous improvement, the group fosters industry-wide engagement and drives innovation. Together, they help airports deliver seamless, world-class customer journeys.

Mid-Sized Airport CEO Forum

The Mid-Sized Airport CEO Forum brings together leaders to share knowledge, address common challenges, and drive innovation in airport operations. It focuses on improving efficiency, sustainability, and regional connectivity while strengthening advocacy efforts. Through collaboration, the forum ensures mid-sized airports are well-represented in shaping industry policy and best practices.

Sustainability Working Group

The Sustainability Working Group drives best-practice sustainability across airports through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement. It focuses on key areas such as decarbonisation, waste reduction, biodiversity, and social responsibility. By supporting industry-wide initiatives and contributing to the Australian Jet Zero Council, the group helps airports achieve a more sustainable, net zero future.

Major Airport Security Committee

The purpose of the AAA Major Airport Security Committee (MASC) is to provide a mechanism for collaboration, sharing of information, and working with Government and Industry on matters of importance to major metropolitan airports. The group discusses and considers all matters that relate to aviation security and the role that the MASC can play in shaping, lobbying or influencing a desired outcome in relation to policy and operational matters for members. It also provides input into AAA events including the National Conference.

Aerodrome Operational Safety & Wildlife Hazard Working Group

The purpose of the AAA Aerodrome Operational Safety & Wildlife Hazards Working Group (AOSWHWG) is to provide an opportunity for collaboration, sharing of information and working with Government and Industry on matters of importance related to airport safety matters. The group discusses and considers all matters that relate to airport safety and the role that the AOSWHWG can play in shaping, lobbying or influencing a desired outcome in relation to policy and operational matters for members. It also provides input into AAA events, including the National Conference.

Emergency Management Working Group

The purpose of the AAA Emergency Management Working Group (EMWG) is to provide an opportunity for collaboration, sharing of information and working with the Government and Industry on matters of importance related to emergency and disaster management. The group discusses and considers all matters that relate to emergency and disaster management and the role the EMWG can play in shaping, lobbying or influencing a desired outcome in relation to policy and operational matters for members. It also provides input into AAA events, including the Emergency Management Forum.

Regional Airport Security Committee

The purpose of the AAA Regional Airports Security Committee (RASC) is to provide a mechanism for collaboration, sharing of information, and working with Government and Industry on matters of importance to Regional Aviation Security. The group discusses and considers all matters that relate to regional aviation security and aviation security more broadly, and the role that the RASC can play in facilitating, shaping, lobbing or influencing a desired outcome for members. The RASC also provides input into AAA events, including the National Conference.

Women in Airports Committee

The purpose of the Women in Airports is to establish a community for women in the airport sector to network, share content and work-on issues ranging from the state of play of women in the airport industry, career development, gender quality, and developing leadership skills.

Emerging Airport Leaders Committee

The Emerging Airport Leaders Committee (EALC) focuses on attracting, connecting and educating airport professionals to/in the airport industry. The EALC creates a platform for professionals to share best practice ideas and collaborate on challenges facing the airport industry, in both their local environments and the broader airport industry.
