The Opportunity

We are looking for suitable candidates to join our Airport Team as an Airport Reporting Officer. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulations whilst carrying out allocated works programs and undertaking minor repairs of services associated with the airport, grounds and facilities at the East Kimberley Regional Airports (EKRA) in Kununurra and Wyndham.

This role is also responsible for:

  • Maintaining the terminal and airside security control including managing airside access, escorts and issuing of Visitor Identification Cards (VIC);
  • Responding to emergency and security situations, accidents and participating in regular exercises;
  • Enforcing the provisions of the EKRA Safety Management System (SMS);
  • Ensuring all gardens and airport terminal/s and facilities are maintained and presented to a high standard at all times;
  • Assisting in the removal of immobilized aircraft in order to maintain availability of facility;
  • Monitoring and enforcing ASIC compliance requirements and airside vehicle control in accordance with the Airport Manual and TSP;

A current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), Aerodrome Reporting Officer & Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate, Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency, White Construction Safety Card Current, Senior First Aid Certificate and unrestricted WA “C” Class Drivers Licence; are essential for this role, however we are happy to provide the required training where necessary.  You will also have demonstrated experience with gardening and small plant, ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment.  You will have highly developed customer service skills, good time management skills, developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and a passion for safety in the workplace.

To ensure your safety you will also require the following up to date vaccinations:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • ADT (Diptheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough)

We are offering a remuneration package inclusive of allowances and Superannuation of up to $90,000 (dependent on skills and experience) per annum.
