AMS is currently recruiting for the role of Airport Reporting Officer at the Granites in the Northern Territory. The Granites Mine is 540 km north-west of Alice Springs. The successful applicant will need to be based/fly from Darwin or Brisbane only, roster is 7 days on 7 days off.

Granites Airport Reporting Officer (ARO)

Full-time – FIFO 7 days on 7 days off

AMS is currently recruiting for the role of Airport Reporting Officer at the Granites in the Northern Territory. The Granites Mine is 540 km north-west of Alice Springs. The successful applicant will need to be based/fly from Darwin or Brisbane only, roster is 7 days on 7 days off.

ABOUT THE ROLE – POSITION DESCRIPTION

Ensure the safe and secure operation of the airside environment in accordance with relevant regulations and company SOPs. Responsibilities include safety and security of airport, bird and wildlife management, administrative duties and quality and workplace health and safety duties.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to remain calm and make correct decisions under pressure
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Able to see patterns in complex situation, assess problems, process and practices
  • Able to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations and understanding and appreciating different and opposing perspectives
  • Able to be versatile with tools and equipment for minor maintenance and repairs
  • Self-starter who can is responsible and accountable for own practices and standard of work and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Committed to achieving company and personal objectives
  • Must hold and maintain a current C Class manual driver’s license (MR/HR desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and manage workload to ensure effective management of deadlines and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and appropriately with members of the community, and staff throughout the company
  • ARO qualified by RTO
  • Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Avantik check in process
  • Experience with Alliance F100 and E190 aircraft.
  • Alliance train the trainer qualification
  • Refuelling experience.
