It is an exciting time at the Tamworth Regional Airport with flights increasing significantly and a number of fantastic improvements coming on stream over the next year. Currently, there is the opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the airport reporting and safety team during a period of significant growth.
Reporting directly to the Airport Assets & Technical Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing operational support across safety, security, asset maintenance & management and legislative compliance with regulations
Responding to Air Traffic Control requests
Maintaining runway and taxiway lighting in accordance with regulations
Inspecting runways and maintaining airside areas to ensure safety standards are met
To be successful you will bring to the position the following:
Certificate III in Construction, Plant Horticulture or similar or equivalent relevant experience
Compliance experience
Demonstrated experience in the operation of a range of plant and equipment
A current C Class manual driver’s licence
The ability to communicate effectively and to work well as part of a team
The capacity and willingness to work unsupervised
Please note the following:
A security background check is required during the application process for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which is essential to work at the Airport
You must be able and willing to commit to working evenings & weekends including Sundays on a rotating roster basis
While all the Essential Qualifications listed on the Position Description are required to be successful in the position, Council is willing to provide training to the successful appointee
This position has been classified as a Grade 10 with a salary range of $1,140.90 to $1,234.50 for 38 hours work per week plus compensation for shift work in line with the Award and 5 weeks annual leave per year. Commencement salary will be dependent upon skills, experience & qualifications.
