Freight Officer Whitsunday Coast Airport – Aviation and Tourism Permanent / Full Time - 9 Day Fortnight Level 6 - $83256 - $88550 per annum The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Role An exciting opportunity exists with Council for a Freight Officer to ensure the operational success of the new Freight Distribution Centre at the Whitsunday Cost Airport. The role will require the successful applicant to create strong working relationships with all key stakeholders including customers, airline agents and work proactively to grow the Freight Distribution Centre’s customer base. Essential •C Class ‘Manual’ Driver’s Licence •Certificate II in Transport Security Protection •Current Security Licence and First Aid Certificate •Sound understanding of the relevant sections of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 and the Aviation Screening Notice.
