The main focus of the ARO and Grounds-person role is to contribute to the safe operation of the airport through inspecting, reporting and monitoring the condition of the airside as well as assist with carrying out the day-to-day maintenance of airport grounds infrastructure at Tennant Creek Airport.
We can provide housing assistance and relocation to Tennant Creek for this position.
We are looking for a person who can work independently and have the ability to manage the day-to-day safety, environment and security aspects of the airport in accordance with regulations and ensure company policies and procedures are implemented and enforced. You will be required to respond to aerodrome emergencies and have effective communications with all stakeholders.
A large component of this role will be general maintenance of the Airport grounds – mowing lawns, tree pruning and maintaining a safe and clean runway.
You may already be working in or around an airport and are ready to take the next step in your career. Experience or knowledge in CASA and other relevant aviation legislation, aerodrome emergency planning, airside and terminal operations will be an advantage but not essential. If you have experience in Grounds Maintenance and machine operations and are willing to learn, we can provide ARO training.
The responsibilities include but not limited to:
Understand and implement operational, security and environmental systems, processes, procedures and requirements for airside operations.
Monitor, report, and follow up on airport activities including aerodrome serviceability, breaches of regulations, standards and procedures.
Assist with the management of the day-to-day apron coordination in accordance with company procedures and CASA standards.
Undertaking of repairs and general maintenance.
