Aerodrome Management Services is currently seeking expressions of interest for the newly created role of Human Resources Manager, based close to Perth Airport. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with AMS Human Resources Coordinator, this role will be responsible for overseeing the HR operations and strategy implementation in line with business needs. The successful applicant will require a high-level of Human Resource frontline leadership skills and have the ability and experience to navigate Fairwork legislation with ease.

Human Resources

  • Managing the HR team to achieve the departmental and organisational goals
  • Providing high level HR support, managing organisational compliance with employment legislation and guidance to all internal stakeholders
  • Provide coaching and support to internal stakholders regarding employee relations matters including disciplinary and performance management best practice
  • Development, implementation and continuous improvement of human resources, policies, and procedures to ensure best outcomes
  • Conduct investigations into workplace behavior or conduct issues
  • Actioning of business HR needs whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, agreements, and policies
  • Injury Management facilitation, supporting AMS HSE Lead

Organisational Culture and Development

  • Partner with the leadership team to implement strategies for culture development and improvement
  • Foster a positive climate for an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workforce to drive a performance-based culture which is aligned with the goals and objectives of the organisation
  • Facilitate training and programs to promote employee engagement and achieve organisational cultural aims and outcomes

Skills and Experience

  • 7 + years in a Senior HR/ Culture and People position preferably within the Mining and associated industries with a proven record of managing a team, reporting to senior management, and developing and implementing strategies across the organisation
  • An advanced level of both written and oral communication, with interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to deliver on key stakeholder needs in a changing environment
  • An appreciation for rolling up sleeves and supporting operational HR delivery whilst also engaging with the broader management team and overall business in the delivery of strategic long-term goals
  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ working in a HR leadership role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Ability to translate and apply Fairwork and legislative regulations and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and manage workload to ensure effective management of deadlines and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with stakeholders
