What you’ll contribute to: Queensland Airports Limited is growing and has a number of exciting opportunities, one of which within our Technology Team. The role is a permanent position, reporting through to the Infrastructure Manager. The purpose of this role is to maintain, support, and monitor any network and communication issues, pertaining to mobile devices, internet access, wireless networks, and wired network technologies. At the same time, this position is expected to manage security vulnerabilities and performance issues while responding to routine network communication queries from clients. In this role you will be responsible for: ·         Assist with the maintenance of network performance ·         Adhere to network specifications: workflow, routing protocols ·         Assist in procedures and documentation for network support according to ITIL standards. ·         Process and coordinate appropriate and timely responses to incident reports ·         Provide input in managing changes to service infrastructure ·         Actively carry out small projects or sub-projects independently or in a small team ·         Identify and assess project risks while ensuring they are formally closed and reviewed. ·         Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. ·         Work with vendors and telecommunication companies ·         Continue to improve the quality of WH&S procedures. Skills & experience we are looking for: ·         Networking/ telecommunications infrastructure experience preferred. ·         Strong Technology skills with MS Office Suite ·         Fundamental insights in Networking and OSI model. ·         Solid PC, network, security and service management skills. ·         Proactive attitude in customer service and problem solving. ·         Availability to travel between Queensland Airports Limited operated locations. ·         Ability to be contactable 24/7 to resolve large scale issues if they occur. ·         Availability to participate in the weekly on-call roster. ·         Exemplary time management, problem solving and autonomous work skills. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline. Eagerness to learn and develop with in the Network space. Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Cisco Network Switching and Routing would be advantageous. What we offer you?
