With exciting expansion projects in the works, and the Airport itself experiencing rapid growth, now is the best time to join the Coffs Harbour Airport team.

We are now taking application for a Terminal Services Officer to join our Coffs Harbour Airport team, on a shift-work, part-time basis, to commence as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Terminal Services Officer is responsible for monitoring the overall operation of the airport terminal precinct, including car park operations, security services, baggage handling system operation and ensuring all contracted services adhere to airport rules, regulations and practices. This role will also be responsible for enhancing the end-to-end passenger journey, from car park and kerbside, to boarding at the gate.

Our Terminal Services Officer will ideally have demonstrated experience in the following areas, as these are some of the objectives of the role:

  • Terminal operations or similar including car parking and kerbside management; emergency response including fire evacuations and first aid; complying with regulatory requirements; and experience with minor cleaning and maintenance requests.
  • Service delivery including enhancing the customer experience; investigation and responding to customer enquiries and complaints; and stakeholder engagement and management.

Our Terminal Services Officer will ideally have the following demonstrated skills, qualifications and knowledge:

Essential

  • Proven experience in the delivery of high-quality customer service in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and objectivity in difficult situations and take actions that reflect consideration of the needs of others whilst maintaining the business imperatives of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective, positive team member in an environment requiring flexibility in job and/or task rotation, working hours and professional and personal development.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

  • Relevant qualifications in Aviation or Tourism.
  • Experience in maintenance and response to issues associated with complex airport operational systems such as the Automated Parking System, Baggage Handling System and Checked Bag Screening equipment.
  • Experience in airport terminal operations.
