What you’ll contribute to:
Working within our Asset Services department, the successful applicant will ensure that our Baggage Handling System is operating in an effective and efficient manner and by assisting and supporting the terminal maintenance team in daily maintenance activities.
Jason initially joined our Gold Coast Airport (GCA) team as a Terminal Systems and Maintenance Officer, and has since accepted a role as a Terminal Maintenance Officer in the team.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual. A background or knowledge in building system management is desirable, and experience working with different IT systems will be highly regarded. Ground handling experience desirable, basic computer skills and well-developed interpersonal skills are required. Mechanical aptitude is highly regarded, but not required.
This role will be required to cover various shifts across 7 days per week.
Key Deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist tradesperson with various tasks to ensure that the terminal building structure, equipment and systems are maintained to relevant standards
- Undertake regular tasks and inspections as directed to ensure that the terminal building structure, equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely
- Operate the baggage handling system to ensure the system is meeting operational requirements in efficiency and safety
- Record all major and minor system faults
- Completion of relevant reports (e.g. system fault reports)
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
