The AAA Webinar Series is a free member only initiative that showcases topics that are relevant, insightful and current to the aviation industry and speakers who can educate, demonstrate or instruct members dependent
on the topic being presented.

We provide AAA Members with monthly webinars and are between 30 minutes to an hour in duration, including question time.

AAA Members are encouraged to submit speaker and topic suggestions or ideas for future webinars.

All webinars are recorded and available for members to view on demand by clicking here.

Regional Airport Webinar Series

Date: Monday 27 September 2021

Time: 11am – 12pm AEST

Chief Executive James Goodwin will lead the discussion with the policy and advocacy team on hand to provide their insight and answer any questions you may have.

The AAA team will provide a 20-minute presentation on the current policy and advocacy priorities, their engagement with government departments, agencies, Ministers and their staff along with strategic insight on the current political environment in Canberra.

The team will then throw to members for questions or any helpful commentary as the sector works through the continuing and varied challenges presented during the pandemic.

We want to make this webinar as engaging and interactive as possible so we can hear your views loud and clear and represent you as best we can in Canberra.

 

 

Airside Infrastructure, System Operations and Specifications Webinar

Date: Wednesday 29 September 2021

Join us on this webinar to hear from three technical industry experts.

Presenter 1 – Mark Hickey, Airside Infrastructure Manager, Cairns Airport
Topic: Maintenance Management System
Mark will provide a presentation on an overview of maintenance requests through ‘Tracker Airside’, introduction to the computerised maintenance management system (Mex), standards and specifications on which their airside maintenance schedules are based (ICAO, Defence, etc.) and prioritising of maintenance work orders based on the Cairns Airport risk management framework.

Presenter 2 – Paul Rubsov, Technical Manager, Infrastructure and Services, Sydney Airport
Topic: The Airport Development Centre at Sydney Airport
Paul will provide details of The Airport Development Centre — a knowledge management portal providing access to key asset information and data for the planning, design and delivery of customer and infrastructure projects.

Presenter 3 – Kevin Embleton, National Asphalt Solutions Manager, Fulton Hogan
Topic: AfPA Performance based specification
Kevin will provide an overview of the proposed updates to the AfPA Performance based specification. Kevin will explain the key differences to specifications based on the old Australian Airports Association AAA MT001 method, which is also under review.
